Kari teamed up with her daughter, Alana, to write the fantastical tale Alanna Grimm landing them in Coverfly’s Red List top 3%. Her solo projects have placed her in Coverfly's shortlist for Pitch Week.

Her goal is to create strong female lead characters in their work and her solo projects. As women of color, they hope to bring topics and ideas forward that are often underrepresented using their highly original concepts.

With over two dozen awards, the duo is actively seeking representation.
